BullyWatch kicked off Anti-Bullying week by holding an Anti-Bullying
poster competition in Yate Shopping Centre. The event was a real success,
with many youngsters coming along to help BullyWatch promote the Anti-Bullying
message by creating some fantastic posters. We also sent off 16 blue balloons
in the morning to represent the 16 children who take their own lives because
of bullying.
We will be showcasing some of the winning posters on the website soon,
so please come back to see if your poster is featured.
We would like to say a big thank you to the youngsters and their parents
who came along on Saturday, the Anti-Bullying message is so important
and we are grateful to those who took part and supported our message.
BullyWatch would also like to thank:
Fizogg (www.fizogg.co.uk),
for coming along to paint the faces of the youngsters who joined in. There
were some very interesting faces wandering around Yate Shopping Centre
on Saturday!!
The Lord Mayor of Yate, for coming along and giving out
the prizes and posing for photos with the winning youngsters!
Yate Shopping Centre, for giving BullyWatch a venue and fantastic
prizes which were given out to some very grateful youngsters!
We hope to be holding another event like this one soon, so please check out our
diary page where you can find out what BullyWatch are doing in
the future.
