What happens to bullies?

Bullying can have serious consequences if you let it go too far.

If you continue to bully others this can be a trend that goes with you through your life - and you could end up bullying people at school, at work, at home etc. Many people who constantly bully can be suspended or excluded from school, this will affect the rest of your life, as you won't necessarily get the qualifications that you will need later on in life, in certain cases the police can also become involved.

If you continue to bully others at school then it is likely that unless you address these problems you could be firstly suspended from school, and then if you still continue to bully you may be expelled, you would then have to find another school to attend. being excluded in this way would affect the grades that you could achieve and will most definitely affect your work prospects if you don't get the grades needed. You may not care about this now, but you will when you only have £43 a week to live on as benefits because you can't get a job.

If you are constantly bullying others physically then it is possible that the police could become involved. This could involve you ending up with a criminal record and a black mark next to your name. Many people who bully have ended up in prison after continuing to commit crimes such as shoplifting or abuse against others. However if you try and address your problems with bullying now you can stop this pattern from occuring.

There have been several cases where bullies have been taken to court due to physically abusing others. These cases have resulted in custodial sentences, this means that they have gone to prison or a young offenders institute for physical assault. This then results in a criminal record, which can cause problems trying to find employment.

People who used to bully in school are likely to continue the trend and bully others at work. if you bully others in the workplace this can have consequences such as disciplinary action being taken against you. This will go on your work record and could affect you getting other jobs. In some cases you could become dismissed and be out of work. This will also affect your chances of getting another job.

As the advice here has shown, it is better to try and address your bullying issues now, rather than let them carry on, as they can have serious consequences to the rest of your life. If you sort out these issues now none of the above will happen, and you will become a better person.
